Everyday care
Touma ceramics are made to be used every day. They can go in the dishwasher and the microwave. If you want the glaze to keep its depth for as long as possible, gentle hand washing with warm water and a soft sponge is the kindest option — but it is a preference, not a requirement.
Handling
Ceramics are durable but not unbreakable. Avoid sudden temperature changes — for example, moving a piece straight from cold storage into a hot oven — as this can stress the material. Avoid metal scourers and abrasive powders, which can dull the surface over time.
Handmade by nature
Each piece is wheel-thrown and finished by hand. Small differences in glaze, tone and texture are part of the character of handmade ceramics — they are not flaws, and they make each piece one of a kind.
